Baby!!!

Josiah Daniel Yoncher
Proud parent's: Nathan & Rachel Yoncher

Our new baby is finally here, and we want to use the power of the web to share the experience. We'll put our favorite pictures on this site and give some information on how the birth went and how we're all doing now.

We had a hard labor with several complications, we almost lost Josiah, I had to be induced because I had PIH (pregnancy induced hypertention), strep B. after ten hours of labor I was 5cm dilated when my water broke Josiah's heart rate dropped down to 60 I had dilated to 9 cm, by that time they could not find Josiah's heart beat so they screwed a moniter to his skull, the doctor came in and told me I had to push him out right away so I pushed, I was not fully dilated so I tore my cervix as well as a second stage tear, Josiah came out blue and without a heartbeat, the nurses did infant CPR for a few minutes, they suctioned out his lungs.he let out a squack. Everyone in the room was holding thier breath until they heard him cry. They said he would have to go to the nursery but he ended up staying with me, I got to nurse him for the first time. I ended up staying in the hospital for a few more days because my bloodpressure would not go down, it finally did so we got to leave we ended up staying at my Dads for awhile because it was closer to the hospital. I still had a high risk of hemmorage because of my blood pressure. Josiah did great he caught on right away with the breast feeding, and has been growing since.
